you have saved families, brothers, fathers, sons.
We all thank you fo saving those peoples lifes
with out having to think about it. Many people
give thanks to you because you are a very brave and proud person.
We all thank you for destroying the enemys bunkers and it was
smart from you by telling your men to play death while you were trying to get them
out just by your self and it was amazing that you didin't
got killed while they were uploading the
helicopters of people. we are all proud of you and we

Paul W. Bucha

A West Point graduate, Captain Paul Bucha was the commanding officer of a reconnaissance-in-force mission that was inserted by helicopter to locate and destroy an enemy stronghold. When his men were pinned down by heavy machine-gun fire, Captain Bucha crawled 40 meters through a hail of enemy fire to single-handedly destroy the bunker with grenades. Though wounded, upon seeing his units perimeter was about to be over-run, he ordered a withdrawal while providing covering fire. At one point during the night, he ordered his men to "play dead" while he brought in friendly fire on the enemy. He also stood, in full view of the enemy, with a flashlight to direct the evacuation of three helicopters carrying the most seriously wounded from the field of battle.
